A better desk starts with the right monitor
Resolution is only the beginning. Think about text, connections, ergonomics and your room.

Match size and resolution to your workspace
Measure viewing distance and desk depth first. Check whether your operating system and applications scale text comfortably at the resolution you want. A larger panel at the same resolution gives you larger pixels rather than additional workspace.
Choose for the task
For documents and coding, prioritize text clarity and comfortable positioning. For competitive games, investigate measured response times and refresh-rate support. For image work, look for independent color measurements and a calibration workflow. Marketing labels alone are not a substitute for measurements.
Check the whole connection chain
Your laptop, dock, cable and display must all support the intended resolution and refresh rate. If one-cable USB-C use matters, verify power delivery and the monitor's USB hub behavior with your computer. Check stand adjustment, mounting support and return terms for pixel defects.
